[Heeplist] [NHC] Dimino

Not directly Heep related, but reading the below brought it to mind. Has 
anyone else here heard the new Dimino CD Old Habits Die Hard? Frank Dimino 
was the singer in Angel, and though in his 60's now still has a great voice.

If you listen to his CD you will swear at times you are listening to modern 
day Heep. Angel were often keyboard driven behind the work of Greg Giuffria, 
and Dimino keeps that alive here. It's amazing how Lanzon-like some of it 
sounds. Angel guitar hero Punky Meadows also makes an appearance (he also 
has a solo CD coming out later this year or early next).

Dimino himself has a somewhat stronger voice than Bernie but has a lot of 
the same vocal inflections.

If you liked the last 3 Heep studio releases you will most likely also like 
this. It's my favorite CD of original material all year so far.

Fair point. Whatever they are called I really enjoy Outsider, Sonic, Into 
the Wild and Sea of Light. Wake the Sleeper is decent too. Just don't 
compare to Byron era, pretend it is the new Mick Box band and presto, 
everyone is happy.
