Some good rock is still out there, just back from London attending The Who
in London`s Hyde Park. It was a blast, The Who did a great show in front of
70.000 people :-D

Good Rock is not dead. Aug 8th I go see Deep Purple , Aug 9th I go see
BOSTON and BLUE OYSTER CULT. Recently saw Chicago , Steve Miller Band , and
they are doing well .. The Rolling Stones are in Kansas City tonight and
some friends of mine went . July 1 I go see Weird Al .. Like the HEEP ,
these bands are still putting out decent albums . Unfortunately the radio
stations dont play them here. Radio stations in KANSAS suck ass . Even the
radio personallities will tell you that .. No more are there any "disc
jockeys" .. its all preprogrammed days in advance with the local guy
inserting his bantor with a point and click day of broadcast . Just last
week I went to a baseball game with a "dj" while his show was still on the
air. If you want good new rock , you have to search . Beware though ,
although there is a famous name , doesnt mean its the same .. FOGHAT? only
the drummer is left andd he was struggling four years ago . our home state
rock heroes KANSAS have a line up I havent bothered to see .. Pretty much
ALL of our old favorites have gone thru changes . Some good , some .. well
its a matter of opinion I guess . Need a new band ? go check out TRIGGER
HIPPIE .. it's a super group of sorts .. Audioslave isnt bad .. was
impressed with a group called VOLBEAT and one called POP EVIL when I saw
them live as opening acts .. the pounded out good old rock and roll .. so
hang in there , good rock is still around . I would be interested in any
other new bands the heep list can recomend.. Is the band LORDI still around
? I liked the gimmick they had going .. bunch of forty somethings in costume
bringin back the balls to rock ...
