Well, saw the Uriah Heep last night and they were indeed great, Bernie was great on all songs New and old, Davy is a great bass player, I can't think of a better choice for the band, he really impressed the hell out of me, and I loved his tone and style, also my first time seeing Russell and I really liked his playing as well. Can you tell where I'm going with this? Amazing show from an amazing band but it's not your 70s era Heep, but the super energized version that rocks harder than ever before, and once again the new songs sounded far better live than in the studio. Everyone there seemed very happy with the show, I know I was. I talked to a guy I work with that's played at the Coach House a few time's and he told me why the tables went up to the stage, it's so people can't stand up and dance during the shows because they are not licensed for that which is why security was coming on a bit strong when it came to people standing up and moving toward the stage. The opening band was just awful, and Heep had to play a great show to make up for it. I felt like I was being held hostage as we were forced to endure the opening band. Then on my way home I got rear ended on the freeway, and came away with no damage to the car and a bit of a stiff neck. They had all but one lane closed doing road work on the other's so it took three hours to get home.. Dave S
