Haha cool stuff - I always considered Starstruck to be a bit of a filler track. Like you said, tastes differ so to each their own!

Hello David and all,
I can easily explain why I have "chosen" Light in the Black: this one seems to be not a very inventive riff that Ritchie statred playing, and drew the rest of the band in. Pretty much the same tempo and harmony throughout the whole song which lasts way too long for such a plain idea and average musicianship. In other words, it is a jam without the ingredients that made Lazy or Child In Time, for instance, great tracks. But I know how much tastes do differ, so there's no point in arguing really. The antipodes to me here are Run With The Wolf and Starstruck - plenty of emotions and no timewasting.
Cheers, Igor

Funny, "Light In The Black" is one of my fave songs of that album, and one of my fave songs period. I do agree on "Do You Close Your Eyes". Could've been left off / used as a B-side.
Cheers,
Dave

When talented people show their best, it often results in a masterpiece which are most of the songs on that album. I am not a great fan of Light in the Black and Do You Close Your Eyes, but apart from them that entire album is outstanding :)
