I like Boy, October and War but after that U2 fell to the commercial garbage 
they still produce to this day.

Agreed! One of the most boring and annoying bands ever... Hate them (along 
with Depeche Mode) since being a teenager :) Perhaps, they made it because 
someone of the showbiz tycoons had decided it'd be good to have a 
top-selling Irish band? If I was him, I'd better go with Clannad, Thin 
Lizzy, Rory, or even Gary Moore :)))))))))))))))
