[Heeplist] couldn't help myself one more

I usually don't ever click on links (sorry Shawn) but I did in this case at
the Madman's persistent insistence. After enduring 30 plus seconds of a Mr.
Clean commercial I got my first taste of "Death" My first impression was,
ok this is a joke right? Then I listened for a few more minutes and then
the whole song. I am not sure what to think very primitive, simple power
sound, but the guy plays a powerful lead bass. Yes I said lead bass. It
seems like most bass players strum a rhythm but this guy plays. I found it
annoying though that they kept stopping and starting. That is a good thing
in a car when you come to traffic lights, but not for music (my opinion).
They sound very talented for a garage band, and I heard shades of Jimmy
Hendrix, Lenny Kravitz and early Steppenwolf. Some combination, I know, but
the beat sort of reminded me of the rhythm of Born to Be Wild.

Not sure if I liked it enough to listen to more, but I think Death would be
a great band to see 'Live' (ok, you got me, pun intentional) :-) But I am
serious, they looked like they were having fun playing. My first thought
because of where the recommendation was coming from, that Madman would be in
the band. However I see no visual resemblance to the drummer, lol!

I wonder how many will check them out and comment. I was disappointed last
month when I recommended the wilkesbooth band who is an actual lurker here
on the list for over a decade, only a couple commented, with one post
ripping them not realizing the guy is on the list and can read the comments.

Now the question, are you man enough to click on the you tube link below and
have your brush with death?
