[Heeplist] Inside listening to Outsider

 Mac,
You are right, the lyrics are not for teenagers, but do they really jump at you when you listen to the MUSIC? I think, even a primitive, plain, straightforward poem can't spoil a great song, and Heep had quite a record at succeeding with those: Look At Yourself, Easy Livin' and many more. They also had great songs that are not as anthemic as the mentioned but with great lyrics: Circle Of Hands, One Way Or Another, The Park.... My point was about the music, its spirit, its arrangements. For me only the music lights the fire within... or it doesn't.
