[Heeplist] Inside listening to Outsider

Mac, are you sure? Different world (1991) is full of that stuff, on the following albums I will easily find typical songs of the kind - Sweet sugar, is it not? Mistress of all time? Logical Progression? All of them have that 80-s poppy flavour, and I can easily pinpoint that approach in Phil's and Mick's songwriting up to this day in quite a lot of songs. I don't really mind because I grew up as a listener in the late 80-s, but that is not "classic rock", it is quite unlike the way Heep made music in the early-mid 70-s. Plus, when you have a North American frontman and you play "hard rock" (or what they call it) chances of sounding a bit glamish (like it was in the 80-s) are not that slim at all. And that is what current Heep are to me when they play the likes of T-Bird Angel or Golden Palace, or anything of that "ballsless" stuff. On the other hand, they are real heavy rock to me when they do the likes of The Outsider or The Law. Hope you understand what I mean.
Cheers, Igor
