I used to only buy vinyl as a kid.  Then when I started driving I switched
to 8 track in 1973.  Anyhow I started out loving 60's music, that is what I
heard as a kid, and my older brother played all the time.  Kinks, Hollies,
Tommy James & Shondells, Herman's Hermits, Turtles, Bee Gees, Jay & the
Americans.  I had many favorites.  I did gravitate towards harder edged rock
in High School.  I remember my favorite tapes in 1973 were Grand Funk
American Band and Superstars of the 70's.  When I got to college in 1974 and
I heard Demon's and Wizards one Saturday afternoon, that is the moment that
changed my life (not taste).  A guy needed money for a date that night and
he put on the lp and blasted it.  By the time Circle of Hands rolled around
I was hooked on Heep magic!!!   The best $3 USD I ever spent!!
