Hi all

Spoke to AW on Thursday evening after a gig.

He was really very chuffed indeed to be having the opportunity to step into the shoes of Jon Lord and Ken Hensley and said he was very pleased he had invested in a Hammond organ ten years ago.

Apparently Phil couldn't commit to being away for as long as required for the tour which which why Adam has been asked to fill in.  no suggestion of anything serious and Phil will be doing the UK shows apparently.

By all account he did a superb job on the Deep Purple show (there are some clips on Youtube which support this) - more Jon Lord than Don Airey in style and he was very respectful about both stand in roles.  I genuinely think you'll be n safe hands with him on keys.

Will be interested to hear views after he has performed....

He's had some big gigs. He was Ozzy's keyboardist and also played keys on the last Black Sabbath tour. He can also play guitar so they gives them some flexibility if they want to play some of the 70's stuff in it's original configuration.
