Don,
I have always loved Argent. When I was in the Navy, there was a band at one of the clubs in the Philippines, and they used to play “Hold Your Head Up” just as good as Argent themselves. After looking into the history of Argent, I was surprised to find out that Rod Argent had been a founding member of The Zombies. So in the early to mid seventies I discovered their whole discography and they became a mainstay on my music list. Of course, loving what keyboards had done for groups like Heep, Bloodrock, Deep Purple and my 60’s favorites, The Doors, it was a no-brainer that I would gravitate towards Argent also. Through the years I have parted with some of their LP’s, but still have most of their catalog in my collection. My favorite is their live LP “Nexus” followed closely by “All Together Now” and “In Deep”. Thanks for mentioning them and bringing back some great memories !
