Short Summary
My name is Tayla Goodman and I am  the co-founder of London Bridge Films (LBF). I have been working in TV and broadcast journalism for over 30 years and here at London Bridge Films, we have continuously fed the nations newsrooms with cutting edge human interest stories. We also played a large part, in the undercover programme “The Cook report”.
‘NOT ON THE HEEP” is an emotional yet humorous story of the  Lee Kerslake's battle against cancer, using music as a therapy to extend his life and relaunch his music career.
The story unfolds as he attempts to fulfill three items on his bucket list- 1) to reconnect with his old Rock pals one last time, Joe Elliott - Def Leppard, Ian Paice- Deep Purple, Gene Simmonds - Kiss, Nicko Mcbrain - Iron Maiden and his old partners in crime Mick Box and Ken Hensley - Uriah Heep. 2) to complete his first solo album and 3) to Bring Uriah Heep back together for a final goodbye.
Thanks to Lee's enduring sense of humour, the film plays out In a sequence of tongue- in -cheek interviews, as well as performances and fly on the wall  pieces. We see Lee go through the trials and tribulations of getting back into the music industry after all these years and we find out what people really thought of him.
Will music save his life?
 
What we Need!
We are looking to raise £124,000 which would complete the documentary
£20,000 would get Lee's album complete, take us to LA to film Lee with Gene Simmons from Kiss and put Lee on stage  for a final performance with Def Leppard.
£64,000 would complete the filming of the entire production and help us to explore music as a therapy for others who are suffering.
£40,000 would complete the edit and purchase stock archive stock footage of the bands, to be edited into the documentary; including Lee with the Gods, Ozzy Osbourne and Uriah Heep.
If we don’t meet the entire goal, we will still continue to make the documentary, but at a much slower pace and we will still launch Lee’s album.  We will never give up and will fight for you to know the truth, so please hang on in there!
 
The Impact
We are already 40% of the way through this documentary and have filmed and secured key interviews with a few of his old `Rock `star pals.  
Your donations will help us to complete the documentary, it will help Lee to complete his solo album and  perform once again, thus helping his cancer rates come down and extend his life.  It will help Lee gain some final recognition, which might even inspire The Old Uriah Heep to work together again and perhaps force 'the lady 'in question, to give Lee and Bob Daisley their money back?
Wouldn’t it be great to be able to say, " I am partly responsible for making all of that happen"
Your donations will not only help to make a difference to Lee in this last period of his life, but will also help us to educate the world in the power of music as a therapy. This project will also help promote a wonderful charity, who specialize in nursing others back to health through music. It will help to inspire both young and old to reach out for their dreams and realize that their dreams are not impossible and that age, is not a barrier to success.
Risks & Challenges
Every film comes with risks.  The first is Lee’s health, we have taken Lee’s health and travelling into account and along with insurances and medical assistance, we feel confident that he is being given the best possible help.  Lee’s legacy will live on long after this film and so it has been agreed by all parties that this film will go ahead and tell his story... under any circumstance.
We have production insurance to cover us for errors and omissions along with continuity insurance should something happen to one of the directors.
Some of the challenges involve convincing people to let us film them and their lives, so far everyone of Lee's pals have agreed.  We are working on the Osbourne’s - so fingers crossed they say yes too!
The show will go on!
