>From what I read the dispute was really that the current Purple lineup 
didn't want Blackmore to play with them because they felt Morse was snubbed. 
Ritchie decided not to go because of that. Kiss did something similar a 
couple of years ago when Eric Singer and Tommy Thayer were inducted and 
decided not to play at all, though Peter Criss and Ace Frehley did attend 
the ceremony. Both of those guys are definitely on better terms with the 
current Kiss than Blackmore with the current Purple.

I didn't think anyone cared if they got end, it's really such a farce I
wouldn't think it's worth the bother, I mean there's not any chance of Heep
getting in ever. It's just like Deep Purple going in, what a joke that was,
then they try and and act like they got in for what they did after Ritchie
Blackmore left. The Hall is a waste. DaveS

On an unrelated topic it's a shame that once again Uriah Heep has been
snubbed for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame any opinions on this from the
rest of you guys... I was watching the voting for a while but then lost the
page and never found out what happened until I saw the inductees today
