The current Heep is whole new animal than the classic era, for couple reasons, they play everything faster, and are a hard band and not a heavy band like the classic era. Kens live fire playing live is that heavy band like the classic era and sound more like the classic sound but without the guitar which is very different. DaveS

Many of us heard that lineup with Jan (guitarist from one of John Lawtons
band)  That was in 2008 in Spain at HV2008 and it was awesome.  That would
be more heep than current Heep as Paul and Ken would qualify as original
members and Lee & John from an era where Heep was still relevant.

It was a much different sound than current pumped up Heep.  Very slow and
heavy with lots of passionate hammond.  Wouldn't be cool if they got
together and had a name like Rainbow Demon!!!
