[Heeplist] Only 1 original member? (Don Malecic)

Don-

There is a great live version of The Guess Who, from Toronto Rocks SARS
benefit in 2003 where Randy does his version of Jimmy Page playing the
guitar with a violin bow during a killer version of "American Woman". What
a great moment!

Oh Bob the Guess Who is coming?
That is a special treat.
Has anybody seen them live doing their 12 or 13 minute rendition of American
Woman?
I have a copy of Guess Who live in Winnipeg and that song live blew me away
. Bachman was a monster playing it.
The Guess Who , Probably the best gift Canada has given the music world.

I think King Crimson has to have the personnel change record. They have to
be somewhere in the 20's.

Savoy Brown only has Kim Simmonds left. SB may rival Heep as having the most
personnel changes ! Of course the drummer for Foghat, Roger Earl, was once
a member of Savoy Brown.

I would King Crimson is 2nd to Hawkwind who's personnel changes may be chose
to 100 seems like they have changes every tour, but do people coming back to
the band count as changes because many have come and gone many times, but
Hawkwind is and always be the strangest band ever, led by Dave Brock on
guitar and most everything else, but the question of how good he is on
guitar has never been answered. DaveS

It's funny to see Ratt mentioned, they once lived in El Cajon and one of my
best friends was their fill in drummer, and he also played with Jake E Lee,
I used to go listen to them jamming. I bought pot from the singer for Ratt,
they were called Mickey Ratt then. DaveS

Many of us heard that lineup with Jan (guitarist from one of John Lawtons
band) That was in 2008 in Spain at HV2008 and it was awesome. That would
be more heep than current Heep as Paul and Ken would qualify as original
members and Lee & John from an era where Heep was still relevant.

It was a much different sound than current pumped up Heep. Very slow and
heavy with lots of passionate hammond. Wouldn't be cool if they got
together and had a name like Rainbow Demon!!!
