>From my perspective, this is just like the Magician's Birthday Party or Acoustically Driven, a special one off event. Likely to be recorded and video'd for release as such.
I don't think the 'evil Ken Hensley' will infiltrate and break up the band.

Don I agree with your point that the band is now quite stylistically different from the Hensley era, much harder and more straight forward rock and roll.
Will be interesting to see how they incorporate the original members: two drum kits? Likely. Can't see Lee managing Russel's massive rig.
We saw in the rehearsal shots that Ken was on a real Hammond B-3 so that could be incredible to hear on Sweet Freedom and other classics. So two keyboard set ups are also likely.
I can easily imagine the keyboards layered together.

Wish I could be there to witness it. Hope it's recorded and video'd for release and want to hear from those on the list lucky enough to catch it live!

Subject: [Heeplist] Interview with Ken Hensley about reunion

Ok this is exactly what my concern is with reunions.
Ken said, Mick, Lee and I have common ground again ?
How can this possibly benifite the current Heep with statements like that?
I'm really cautious when old time band members have left their bands for a long time and decide to come back to share the stage and music again.
What is the common ground? In my opinion Heeps current music is straight at you Rock n Roll designed by Mick.
I can't believe Hensley would be ok with that style .
Doesn't Mick remember ?
I think the current Heep lineup is on a roll With song writing and would hate to see anyone interfere at this point.
Let's keep it hard !!!!
Don
