Hi David!

You shouldn't keep yourself away from a great group just because the 
provoking name - Just remember URIAH HEEP wasn't a nice guy as long as 
he lived only in a Dickens book.

The records of LF are very different. The band started with a strong 
progressive approach, changed to a more funk and jazz influenced style, 
than to a tough hard rock, to AOR and even to a disco influenced album.

Try the Records "Lucifer's Friend" (progressive), "Banquet" (jazz / 
swing /  funk) or "Mind exploding" (Hard Rock) - I think all three are 
each in its own way a good appendix to a HEEP collection - in my ears 
even more than a great marge of the non-Heep Byron stuff.
