CLASSIC!  
Bob, wonderfully done!  Laughing out loud on that one.

I stand by two things from my post:
Mick Box has been true to his fans for 5 decades, getting new players to
keep the team [BAND] together.
And, secondly, Bernie is in the roll of Lead Singer for Uriah Heep...So
unless he is booted out of the band, he is the man to sing the songs!

In the case of David, I believe HIS version of the story.  He quit Uriah
Heep.  

We all love his contributions and there will never be another but...
What if he believed as much as all of us?
What if he cared as deeply about Uriah Heep as we all do and continued on
with the band?  
Can you imagine the long flowing grey hair of David and Mick on the same
stage together now?  We'd all be moved to tears by most of the songs!  

But he quit.  After 6 years he lost the faith in the band, it's direction
and it's future.  
When I see the passion and 'ownership' of the Uriah Heep material by Bernie,
a man who has committed his musical career to representing Uriah Heep around
the world, I often wonder why this list spends so much time celebrating the
Byron  'half decade' over the last (soon-to-be)  40 years without him.

Let the beat down begin!

1976 Yankees were good, but swept by the Cinncinatti Reds in the World
Series.  Horrible time, I was sick for 2 days with the flu, in college and
not far from Cinncinatti.  I think if you want to pick some great Yankee
Teams, maybe 1978, 1996 and the legendary 1927 team.  1927 was the Box,
Hensley, Thain, Byron lineup for the Yankees, Ruth and Gehrig.  Gehrig
played bass, first base that is!!

I agree with Doug.  Teams get
