Once again it's a matter of, most of the people I hung out with that I still know from school can't stand any Heep, and most of the people I know outside of the list prefer Bernie over all the other singers, but I don't think to much of what they do like. It's funny because over the years the biggest problem people I knew had with Heep in the 70s was the high vocals.. Dave S

Most of hard rock lovers I know personally (actually all of them) definitely belong to this category - and you can't take that away, that surely means something, it ain't just nostalgia, gentlemen.
>P.S. The one who prefers Bernie Shaw to David obviously haven't noticed what made David one of the finest singers that  have ever emerged during the best days of rock.  As for Bernie... well, he's good at what he does, but if you see his era as a preferable one, I am afraid you've already missed the whole world that was there before and which made it possible for the current line-up to make ends meet after all these years. Please, take no offence, but certain things are really hard to understand unless you were born in 199-something and grew up listening to modern Heep.

My wife is one that can't understand what anyone sees in David Byron, and things anything with Bernie or John Lawton is far better than anything with David, not that she doesn't like him, she thinks he's ok just not great, she also thinks from the 90s on they are far better than any time before that, and she was around and even saw the classic lineup. She's not the only one I've known or talked to that feels this way, though when I meet older people that remember Heep seem to think they stopped playing after High and Mighty, and never knew they have always been around. And at least two people I meet in the last month were excited to hear they were playing in any format and both said they are going to the show here after I told them about it. Dave S
