Yeah, it was nice to see Bobbie and Lannis again and to have some time for a conversation and to catch up on what's going on in Heepdom. It's always nice to see them. I also picked up the signed brochure and a T-shirt where there is a styleized photo of boys lined up on the front, showing attitude. The current tour is listed on the back with no mention of Heep. Kid of cool and different.

The concert was great and emphasised Outsider with a few hits thrown in. The set seemed short but then again, after Bernie announced that he was having trouble with his throat (due to the dry air up in VA compared to Florida he said)it was understandable. I hope that rest of you who are seeing Heep in the next few days don't experience them without Bernie's great vocals.

BTW if any of you know or learn of a audio recording being posted somewhere, please lead me to the site. I shot video of most of the concert but I'm afraid that I did not set the audio level low enough to avoid distortion, even though I did my best on-the-fly.

Enjoy the rest of the tour! This will have to be my one and only concert this year.

Ed Halliburton

>Bobbie and I attended the Birchmere concert in Alexandria, Va. last night. We met up with Ed from the list. The venue opened at 5. People in line got a number for ultimate entrance into the concert hall. We were number 9. There was a nice area with tables where you could chat with Heep fans, use the John, etc. The merchandise sells area was also open. There were 4 different Heep t's including an awesome Outsider t-shirt, which I purchased. They also had cups, mouse pads. cup holders, caps, signed cards.

>The most awesome piece of merchandise is a 24 page brochure. This includes a nice centerfold of the band, and a couple of pages dedicated to each member of the band in order of their entrance to the band. Also pages of band history, a page devoted to tattoos.
>This brochure is a must have for any Heep fan.

>Once we entered the concert hall, we found some great seats directly in the middle, back a few tables, slightly elevated. The concert hall consisted of tables, with waitresses coming around to take orders from a full menu. We had a guy sitting at our table appropriately named Byron. It was his 1st Heep concert. It was my 42nd.

>The concert was great with 5 songs from Outsider. The songs went over well. Of course the classics, Stealin, July Morning, etc. were well received. Bernie had voice problems, but managed thru it. There was only one encore, Easy Livin'. I think Gypsy was marked thru.
>
>There was no meet and greet, because the venue kicked everyone out at 10:30.
