Ha ha, Bob & Igor, I think we are just gonna have to agree to disagree over
Conquest :-)

Bob there is a difference though between a rough voice like Springsteen and
Rod Stewart and one that sings bad though. I quite like both of the previous
two. Always amazes me when Americans think "Born In The USA" is a patriotic
song though :-)

And Bob, I think Feelings is a great song, ruined by Sloman. John Lawton's
take on it is infinitely better IMO :-)

Bob, how can you not love Equator, All Heep is Good Heep :-)

I think if you listen to the DW tracks on Acoustically Driven, you will get
a better idea of how much better the CD could have sounded with more time. I
love the title track and Cross That Line. In fact I think this week's long
drives will be accompanied by DW, Equator and the Goalby albums :-)

Cheers,

Pete

Pete, I do not think Igor was joking. You know some people do like music
with crap voices. How do you explain the popularity still of Bruce
Springsteen? He still sells out Stadiums in the USA and has his own channel
on satellite radio.

Putting aside the lead vocals, the music is great, punchy and rocks.
Nothing Heep has done beats the opening riffs of Feelings I know you don't
like the song "..and you don't even care to pretend" lol! Some of the
bonus tracks are really growing on me. Anyone notice how powerful, loud and
pronounced Trevor's bass is on Love Stealer?

Equator is a different record, the vocals are good, but the lyrics are
juvinile and it sounds less like Heep with back ground vocals and choir.
Different World, well it sounded like Heep was trying to get hit singles
again, and they recorded 10 straight.
