Minimum wage is still better than no wage.  I would take the job, for some
reason, at least here in the USA, employers seem to shy away from
unemployed, thinking there is something wrong with them.  I was once out of
work for 10 months and interviewed my butt off every week for the whole 10
months.

It is so much easier to explain why you are looking for a new job when you
are working  then not working.
