I never heard the Russ Ballard version, anyone have a link for a sample?
I did however like the opening of the song, it is a really cool sound
effect.

One time I saw Sheena Easton on HBO singing '"I'M a Prisoner"  I would not
say I liked her version better, but I liked watching her sing it!  :-)
