[Heeplist] Heeplist] Favourite Heep drumtrack?

I am absolutely sure we can take almost any classic track, but, on recent relistening of D&W, the second song drew my special attention, you just have to hear all those cymbals and drum rolls, they are amazing. The thing that follows (the one someone's never known before) is also a brilliant example of what is missing from both numerous cover bands and modern Heep, unfortunatelly. That double-beat shuffle style with a special, typical Lee's "step" is something to hear... But there you go, it's a great album not only for Ken and David, but for some others as well, that drummer's approach on "Demons..." is very similar to Gary's, he just graciously fills in the blanks where necessary. Great drumming musically.
Cheers, Igor

>This is an interesting and very hard to answer topic, I do think Ken and Lee fit together better than the rest of the band, and what's missing most from Ken and his bands is Lee. But if I had to pick the best overall drums I would have to say all of Live 73. Simply that was Lee at his all time best. Dave S
