I'm with Bob 200% on this! My favorite Heep album for overall quality of album is Firefly. I love David's voice, I love John's voice, I love Bernie's voice. I have everything that I'm aware each of them has recorded, except for the remaining Avenue recordings by David. I have all those Les Humphries songs that John sang at least a portion of the lead simply because I love his voice. Between David and John and their non-Heep recordings, can you think of any other singers with such a broad range of musical styles in their officially published repertoire who also--simply because of the beauty of their singing--make everything they sing listenable???!!!! Yes there are some (Rod Stewart comes to mind), but to imagine 2 such singers from one band!!!! I honestly can't think of an example. And Bernie is nearly or as good as David and John. How many other bands have produced so many excellent singers? Well, I admit, there are quite a few, but not many with the
body of work that Heep has produced!!!

One of my favorite Heep moments is on The Magician's Birthday Party where John and Bernie duet on Sympathy. Can you imagine an entire album of the two of them? It'd be like the Allen-Lande band, only better!

Thanks,
Just have given this particular CD a spin a few days ago. Interestingly enough, I prefer the original 5-minute version, this one seems being unnaturally extended to me. And I believe, that is exactly the case - Mr.Corich just glued the opening sequence to the ending one. :)))
Cheers, Igor
