He was never in Rainbow, he was there for a couple days to try out but Ritchie decided against it, he may have sang one track at most. Goalby would have been awful in Rainbow, though I think he would have been a better choice than the one they made for Down to Earth which to me didn't work at all and I rate it as the worst Rainbow album, even though the band was great.
