Except for us strange fans out here. I don't dislike the Byron era, I'm just 
a bigger fan of the Lawton, Goalby, and Bernie era's. I didn't become a big 
Heep fan until Innocent Victim, and Abominog is till my favorite Heep 
release.

I agree with you there Dave, although all Heep is good Heep nothing compares 
to the Byron era. David was the king ;-)

Regarding quality of sound on vinyl, do you get the old albums released in 
Japan guys?  I know for a fact, from my single`s addiction that at least on 
the old single`s they sound better than the rest. The Japs used very good 
quality vinyl in their records back then at least, and those singles are 
superior to the US or UK or whatever.  I never got any albums from Japan 
myself so can't tell if it’s the same there.  Japanese cd`s tend to be top 
class also with the shm releases.
Friend of mine bought Live 73 from Japan the other day on shm disc. Turns 
out he already had it the dumbass so now it's mine muahaha ;-D
