[Heeplist] Heeplist] USA Tour dates (what tour, we need to change this)

LZ  were pioneers, they were bluesy (which helps in America a lot, I believe) and they were managed more than properly. And they called it a day relatively soon - being more than well off  and gaining legendary status right away while the likes of Heep or Nazareth still have to work hard. That's the difference. Apart from it, all great bands of the 70-s are equally great.
Cheers, Igor

>Zeppelin had their time as well as wrote a lot of great songs. I just don't think Page or Plant were near as good as the credit they get, mainly Plant, three Heep singers come to mind that I like much better overall than Plant live anyway. Page is very good even great at times but I can pick a lot that were far better, however Page was able to write far better than most, take Jeff Beck few could even dream of playing as well, yet he couldn't write a song to save his life. So, again it comes to taste, sadly a lot of people are far more caught up with the image and sales than reality and just won't look past it, and those are people that miss out on bands like Uriah Heep. >>I guess it's about personal taste and I agree that Zep was a great great band, I still prefer Heep though. Watching the pink pop concert from the link earlier today now, and I must say I admire Zep and think Robert Plant was a great singer, he never give me goosebumps like David Byron do in this video though... Byron looks like he's been drinking for 10 days and still sings like an angel, fantastic, love it :-D

>>Hello Heepsters, You really can't compare Heep to the Mighty Zep. It's too bad that the Heep does't get more respect being around all these years and enduring the changes that they ahve gone through. But the Mighty Zep are in a class by themselves.Defining the Hard rock persona, with so many bands out there wanting to live up to their legacy.
>>Anyway long live Heepmay they rock on!
