Actually, if you wanna be really picky, MAD was a single-only release. The Double Trouble version is live. The single was a great gatefold release with an entire mini-play by Ian included resulting in the end of the world. I really liked the b-side as well, The Maelstrom. While I like all Gillan (again, the band) albums and singles, I definitely prefer the Torme stuff over the Janick Gers or Steve Byrd albums. Best of all, for me, was Colin Towns, who I think is the most underrated keyboard player in the history of hard rock. His songwriting was as outstanding as his playing skills. He's been mostly scoring music for TV and film since Gillan ended. If you ever get the chance to hear some of his soundtracks, they are among the best in the world. http://www.colintowns.com/index2.html

It's a great album. As any Gillan (the band, not the singer) album actually. But one "but": M.A.D. belongs to Double Trouble, not to Future Shock. And my favourite is No Laughing in Heaven - one of the most hillarious songs I've ever heard, the video also kiks some serious ass, as you say :) See for yourselves :)  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a1XZO10S-9s
Cheers, Igor
