 Jim Dandy IS the greatest singer in his own genre, of course. Like David Byron was - in his own special way. Objectively speaking, there can't be the best singer as such. For instance, late RJD was one of the best in the whole rock music - but he sang other singers songs quite poorly. I suppose, it just wasn't his field. Another example - Freddie Mercury who was a joke standing alongside Montserrat Caballe. But who will say he isn't great overall? Let anyone try to do Jim Mangrum - and they will surely fail.
