[Heeplist] There's gonna be a Heepvention in Belgium

The Hershey bars they sell in the stores are awful. They are definitely 
mixed down with some additive or other to keep the price down. When I was a 
kid my grandmother made and sold chocolate Easter eggs, pretzels, peanut 
butter cups, etc. She got Hershey's chocolate delivered by the truckload. It 
came in slabs in 50 pound boxes (I can attest to carrying dozens of then 
down into the basement where her workroom was when I was a teenager). It 
tastes totally different then the bars you get in the store.

I was gonna wait until I'd gone through catching up on all my list mails
before I begged Staf to stop talking about chocolate in case some American
piped up about Hershey bars!!! I waited so long from a little kid seeing
them in Superman comics and the like to try one. When I finally did at HV99,
I have never been so disappointed in my life! Yuk, tasted like vomit! Mind
you, to be fair, I brought the kids some chocolate back from Belgium one
Easter and that also tasted like vomit to me! I have had nice Belgian
chocolate since, but not nice American chocolate. I'm going with the Swiss
for chocolate bars as a close second to Iain's bar of Cadbury's dairy milk
:-)

chocolate is the Hershy Almond Bar
