Right on bro!!!!!! Lemmy is the ROCK GOD in my rock book. I've been following his antics on stage for many a rock monon ever since he was in Hawkwind.....HW, Lemmy, Uriah Heep, Motorhead....this is the REAL thing in rock man. I was waiting for this HUGE album by Lemmy and the guys for a loooooooooooooooooooooong time, man:). Of course, I doubt it will contain another "Bomber"-like tune (my FAVE Motorhead song to date), but who the hell cares...I mean, I've seen Motorhead live over 20 times now and their sound is consolidated in my rock brain since forever:):):). I only hope Lemmy doesn't scare us with his health probs, that's all :):)

Warning: Non-Heep Content!

Crash, boom, bang!  The new "Motorhead" has landed with a resounding
cataclysmic fury!  If the career of Lemmy & co. was the earthquake, then,
believe me, this is indeed the "Aftershock"!  No-holds-barred,
take-no-prisoners Rock 'n' Roll with a bluesy sometimes on speed feel with
Lemmy sounding better than ever before vocally and playing a bass that even
Trevor would have approved!  "Heartbreaker" is the opener and sets the
stage for one of the best workouts the trio have ever recorded together.
Phil "Fast Eddie" Campbell sounds more like his predecessor than Mr. Clarke
himself, these days, as he pinches out riff after riff squeezing in solos
that are to die for.  Mikkey Dee is also superb behind the skins bashing
away and muscling through anthemic numbers like "Paralyzed", "End of Time",
"Queen of the Damned" (Aaliyah, where are YOU now?), "Going to Mexico",
"Crying Shame", "Death Machine", and the Sam Gopal/Escalator influenced
"Dust & Glass".  Hell, this is easily their best effort in decades, and
they could have called it, "Greatest Hitz", because it damn near is!  Just
check out Lemmy actually playing a bass solo on "Crying Shame" before he
slams into some trademark riffs a la "Ace of Spades" on the aforementioned
"Queen of the Damned".  If YOU have never owned a "Motorhead" disc before,
then this is most definitely the one for YOU!  Buy or die!
