[Heeplist] goin to moscow ? beware of vinyl

I believe you are right here since those were made quite illegally. :))))) But the truth is we have some diffent recordings - mostly classical music, but, for instance, Innocent Victim made by the Soviet label Melodiya as well as Deep Purple's House Of Blue Light or Trilogy by Yngwie Malmsteen was quite ok and so was Paul McCartney's Снова в СССР. Actually, it was made in vinyl only here, as far as I am concerned. So, of those things you shouldn't be in fear of getting junk. :))) I do collect LP's and my rule is simple: get artist's disc from the country where his label is located, otherwise it is a lottery and most probably you are eventually going to lose. In case with classic Heep, only Dutch pressings (in my opinion) are close to the English originals, most of the rest is good only if you've not heard the originals. :))))))))))))
