I see the point, but... Roger was one of the genre's creators! And his playing is more than sparkling on his first real hard album, that is In Rock. He was terrific initially, and only later turned into a free supplement to the guitarist. :))))

>I have said that before, he's a solid bass player but not fancy at all, his best playing l have heard was on a Rainbow bootleg when he was given a bit of a solo spot, nothing fancy but very tasteful. As a bass player he's a bit like Roger Glover, a solid pro that's keeps it together and though he can do a lot more than he shows, but only opens up when the opening is given.
